Miss Jackson

Hello, my name is Shantel Jackson and I’m addicted to high heels! I’ve been in love with high heels for as long as I can remember. No words can describe the satisfaction I feel when slipping on a pair of heels. No matter how much pain they caused, I still wanted to wear them. Over 500 pairs and counting!

The idea for Shoe Gummi started with one simple thought back in 2009 - How can I make my high heels more comfortable? Like many of you, I’ve tried just about every insole on the market, but none have ever worked for me. I knew there had to be a solution and I was determined to find it. My wheels got to turning and with some creativity and lots of perseverance, the very first Shoe Gummi design was born. I used my original prototype on every pair of high heels I could get my hands on. It wasn't until 2015 that I considered developing a consumer product for women everywhere to enjoy!

Through years of my own personal use, and after months of rigorous lab testing, I was able to get visual data on how Shoe Gummi actually works, the science behind the innovation. With that data, I was able to perfect my product’s design. Not only did it take over 2 years for my patent to be approved, the longest part of all was the actual product design and innovation. We went through hundreds of design changes and adjustments to make it perfect. I was determined to create a product unlike any other orthotic on the market that would offer undisputed results.

Today, I am so proud to have a line of products accessible to women around the world that finally provides a sense of relief and comfort when wearing their high heels. Shoe Gummi is for the modern woman who refuses to compromise style over comfort.

Shoe Gummies Journey

LAB TESTING

The very first Shoe Gummi lab testing was critical to the overall product design and early development stage. It helped to confirm the product’s effectiveness, optimize the design and begin to create marketing data based on the performance results.

During the testing, a group of women were asked to walk in high heels with and without the Shoe Gummi prototypes attached. Their feet were equipped with sensors that would illustrate the pressure on the ball of the foot. Reduced pressure means more comfort.

The overall effectiveness of the product tested extremely well, however the stability portion raised some cause for concern. With the expert help of the lab testing facility, we were able to improve upon our original design and Shoe Gummi’s now safe and stable design was born. Once the product's design was adjusted, Shoe Gummi underwent another round of lab testing and passed with flying colors.

CAD DESIGNING

Computer-aided design (CAD) is a computer technology that designs a product and documents the design's process. Through this process we were able to develop Shoe Gummi’s finalized design available today. But it took years and hundreds of designs to get it right.

PATENT

Whats a Patent?

A patent is a right granted to an inventor by the federal government that permits the inventor to exclude others from making, selling or using the invention for a long period of time. It took over 2 and a half years to be approved from the moment we began filing Shoe Gummi’s Patent Application to it being granted in 2018.
